| Wilbur Hoolick (Jerry) is a barber's apprentice who unwittingly comes into the possession of the stolen Majuba diamond. From here it's pure pandemonium as Jerry, attempting to avoid the grasp of jewel thief and murderer Noonan (Raymond Burr), dresses up like an 11-year-old in a sailor suit and takes refuge in the girls' school where Bob Miles (Dean) is a teacher. Plenty of slapstick antics to delight the Lewis fans. Highlights include Noonan and Wilbur on the train, in a hysterically funny exchange between a supposed child and a jewel thief. This is a remake of THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR (1942). |
