Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis were "two guys from nowhere, alone, and going nowhere," until they met each other. In 1946 when they first performed together at the 500 Club in Atlantic City, Martin and Lewis exploded onto the entertainment scene and quickly became an overnight success story. They played to sell-out crowds in New York and Los Angeles night clubs and hosted their own radio show.
In 1949, when Martin and Lewis' career had reached a high point, they took a gamble and experimented with a new medium know as "television." They were approached to launch a new show called "The Comedy Hour." Beginning September, 1950 and running through 1955, the duo hosted the program live, twenty-eight times.
Join Jerry Lewis as he reminisces about the birth of the team. Jerry's special guests, Chevy Chase, Howie Mandel and Martin Short, share their personal recollections of growing up with the comedy duo.
